The Festival Program
The first edition of the Patmos Chamber Music Festival comprises of seven concerts held in different locations on the island. The festival program has been designed to express the differences and nuance of every voice, every musical note, every instrument. Music is the result of a complex and harmonic mix of diverse components. In the concerts of the Patmos Chamber Music Festival, you will enjoy the single voices and instruments in solo performances, as well as in different combinations together. We are particularly proud of bringing together some of the best chamber musicians we know, all eager to come to Patmos to share their energy and inspiration through their music. In each concert, you will discover a new repertoire: rare works by Greek composers, and also two World Premieres by our composer in residence, Matteo Rubini. You will also be surprised by new interpretations of mainstream classical repertoires by Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Chopin. Each concert will present a different number of combinations, to offer a varied and stimulating listening experience. Roberto Prosseda, Artistic Director Massimo Fino, Executive Director
